NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF CONSUmerism

My name is Nick Algas and I currently am a senior at Dunlap High School. My blog is meant to explore how today's American society is becoming more consumer-based and materialistic. Consumerism isn't something that just hurts peoples' wallets, but how it creates a barrier of inequality and its effects on the environment and even mental health. For a few years now I have been reselling vintage and designer clothing which has shown me a little bit of how consumerism works.
